<BEGIN RANT>
In a recent tweet I stated the following:
“Here’s what I have decided I am sick of statist politicians both Rep and Dem. Stop forcing things down my throat thru fear tactics! #tcot”
I then reinforced it with a few other comments:
First it was Bush with the overreaching Patriot Act and now it’s Obama with the Porkulus bill. #tcot
Actually, it is much more long standing than that. Clinton – CRA, Carter, Dept o Education, etc. #tcot
I am getting sick and tired of all of the aristocracy in this country babysitting me. We have a crazy concept that this country was founded on… Freedom. Stop passing more and more social “advancement” regulations such as the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA). Don’t play on our fears and create bureaucracies like the DHS and the TSA. Stay away from my liberties and don’t pass things like the Patriot Act. Leave my freedom of speech alone and stop passing crap like McCain-Feingold campaign finance reform! Let capitalism be capitalism and stop trying to save us from evil capitalism with trillions of dollars of taxpayer funds.
Both parties are power crazy. Both parties believe how great they are. Both want to RULE not represent. Both are invested in being the aristocracy. What about “We the People…”? We are offered more entitlements. Guess what I don’t want your hand outs. I don’t want your nannystate. I don’t want the rotten benefits you provide.
Suggestions for government:
1. New entitlements can not be even considered until you resolve the problems with the current programs (i.e. Social Security and Medicare).
2. Federal budgets are not allowed to go up by more than the rate of inflation. Figure it OUT!!!
3. You are NOT economists. Leave the economy alone. Keynes was wrong it doesn’t help.
4. You answer to the people not to the lobbyists, journalists, and Washington elites. How about you try listening!
5. Little tip: The Constitution is a contract that was written by the people. You didn’t GIVE us our rights, we limited YOUR power.
It is time that the people actually start saying “Breech of Contract” and start removing representatives/senators/presidents who pay no attention to our demands. It is time that we start caring about things and take back OUR country.

Although I am sure that Obama is a great speaker and is probably very persuasive, it scares me that Republicans are quick to throw principle aside in order to get along. I am NOT saying they should simply be obstacles, they should stand on principle.
In the article “GOP-ers Swoon Over Obama Despite Differences” it appears to me that most Republicans are more concerned about perceived bi-partisanship and being like by the new President than having any principles. The following comment shows that Republicans are NO conservatives:
“There’s real desire in this room to figure a way back to prosperity,” Inglis wrote on Twitter. “[The president] and Republicans here [are] expressing deep concern about unemployment.”
Conservatives (not Republicans) would say that the correct way back to prosperity has nothing to do with government. It seems that Republicans do not agree with that view.
I also think that Republicans are going to learn a lesson fairly quickly from a pretty solid political being. Obama is going to get what he wants with or without them. Any one remember the comment “I won”.
I think that the GOP better learn that the base is not looking at this so-called bi-partisanship as a positive thing. We aren’t electing Republicans to be well liked. We are electing them to have some values and principles. I think that many of us are going to be sorely disappointed.
Well, it appears that Sarah Palin may be taking her first steps toward a 2012 run. She has formed a PAC group.
I will definitely be keeping an eye on this.
I just read a great article on RedState.com that I had to share. It is so true and surprisingly the ridiculous politicians in Washington are clueless to the feelings of the base. Scary.
Is It Just Me Or Is Sarah Palin The Only Republican Making Sense Right Now?
The time has come for a change in leadership but this time to real conservative with real values!
Well it’s nice to see that McCain and the media have kissed and made up. It’s also nice to see that McCain is back to being a “Maverick”. They didn’t really think so during the election but they do now. What changed? Oh yeah, McCain was trying to defeat the media’s messiah and now he’s trying to build a gigantic house with him! The thing that McCain does/doesn’t (depending on your perception of his intent) understand is the only time that he is “Maverick” is when he acts as a traitor to his party and “crosses party lines”. But that is quite easy for someone with no spine or opinion. The exact reason why the media loves him is the reason he lost the Presidential election.
Senate Gets Reacquainted With McCain the Maverick
I heard someone say it best – “I wish that McCain would cross the aisle and stay there”. It is time for Republicans with principles that are outside of political favor to be the leaders in this country. Then the article uses the real “conservatives” to applaud him: Sen. Susan Collins (RINO-ME), Sen. Lindsey Graham (RINO-S.C.), Sen. Joseph I. Lieberman(??-CT). Quite the stirring applause by “TRUE” conservatives. /ROFL
So the chameleon has changed back to his original color. A sickening yellow.
